Sterling A. Spainhour Joins Miles Mediation & Arbitration in Charlotte

 

CHARLOTTE, August 17, 2020–  Miles Mediation & Arbitration, the largest ADR provider in the southeast, is proud to announce the addition of Sterling A. Spainhour to its panel in Charlotte. Spainhour is a mediator and arbitrator specializing in banking, financial, technology, business, and commercial disputes.

In addition to managing a full-time ADR practice, Spainhour is currently Of Counsel with Sapronov & Associates, a law firm with offices in Atlanta and Washington, DC. Prior to joining Sapronov & Associates, Spainhour served as Special General Counsel for Bank of America and Deputy General Counsel for Well Fargo, where he was part of the management team that oversaw 450 employees. At Wells Fargo, he also led the practice group responsible for all corporate issues involving offshoring and outsourcing, intellectual property, commercial contracts, technology and telecommunications.  

 

“ADR has always been a critical part of the legal process but in the current environment,” said Spainhour. “It has become an essential component of resolving disputes in a swift, economical fashion. Spainhour is a certified mediator with the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Committee and a Commercial Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.  

 

 

 

Spainhour has presented at several Practicing Law Institute Seminars and other national and state continuing legal education seminars. He has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Wake Forest School of Law for sixteen years where he taught courses in banking and financial institutions law and advanced contract drafting and negotiations. He has also been a full-time Professor at Charlotte School of Law. Spainhour received his B.A. from Hampton University and his J.D. from Notre Dame University School of Law.
