Mediator & Arbitrator Bianca Motley Broom Addresses Implicit Bias at CLE

ATLANTA, December 6, 2018– Bianca Motley Broom participated today on a panel “Acknowledging and Interrupting Implicit Bias” at Atlanta Bar Association’s CLE by the Hour, held at King & Spalding in Atlanta. Other panelists include Anuj Desai of Arnall Golden Gregory and Clyde Mize of Morris, Manning & Martin.

While most lawyers generally understand the importance of diversity, many still face challenges with defeating implicit bias. Motley Broom’s program aims to help identify the unconscious biases within the practice of law, but also provide a toolkit to interrupt and overcome these inclinations.

The CLE By the Hour seminar is designed to allow attorneys the opportunity to obtain Trial Practice, Ethics, and Professionalism credits before the annual CLE deadline. The seminar covers a variety of legal issues using panelists and interactive discussions of real-life scenarios to provide interesting and practical education.
